Optimum Control Logic for Manual Transmission

A control logic for manual transmission has successfully been developed which can automatically determine optimum gear position for fuel economy based on the data obtained from driving force, vehicle speed and acceleration.

Using this logic, a “Shift Advisory System” for heavy duty commercial vehicles with diesel engine has been developed and its excellent effects have been confirmed by evaluating running performance and fuel consumption performance of the vehicle operated in accordance with the instructions of the “Shift Advisory System”.
