Abstract

Content: Early Navy/Marine Corps operational experience with fiberglass rotor blades installed on Boeing Vertol H-46 helicopters is discussed. A brief history of the development program is given. RAM objectives are compared with achieved values. Experience with blade damage and capability to repair at field level is discussed. Problems under engineering review are enumerated.
