- THE operation of automotive equipment at -30 to -79 F brought to light a variety of fuels and lubricants problems.To investigate some of these difficulties, Mr. Goodale made a trip to Alaska. This paper discusses some of the experiences he had there in attempting to solve the problems of operating internal-combustion engines at -50 F.
