Oils and Fluids for Hydraulics

- The methods of refining and treating petroleum fractions and the selection of appropriate additives and inhibitors to obtain a satisfactory oil for hydraulic applications are reviewed. The various physical and chemical properties of these oils and their significance in hydraulic systems are also presented. In addition, a short résumé and state-of-the-art of fire-resistant fluids is given.
