The New London Taxicab-Comparison of R-RIM and Metal as Skin Panel Materials

In this paper, the Author deals with the application of R-RIM moulded components to automotive body construction in a highly specialised low volume market. By means of simple comparison with alternative materials and methods, the rationale for the choice is developed, taking into account the dominant parameters imposed by marketing, legislative and commercial constraints.
