Abstract
Content
Thermoplastic-Elastomer Material ( TPE ) was choosen for the encapsulation of an automotive glass. Therefore primer-systems have been developed to guarantee a good bonding between glass pane and TPE-polymer.
Adhesion tests were performed on quarterlites and on specimen to obtain answers concerning the behaviour of these primer-systems even after different aging storage.
This application for TPE will allow automotive manufacturers to replace PVC-compounds for window encapsulation
