Abstract

The results from a Navier-Stokes computation of the flow about the Bell Model 214ST helicopter fuselage have been compared to wind tunnel test data. Three cases were selected to test the code over a wide range of conditions. Comparisons include integrated forces and moments as well as pressure distributions. The ability of a 3-D Navier-Stokes code to compute forces and moments that correlate well with M214ST fuselage wind tunnel test data is demonstrated.
