A full computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model of the V-22, including rotating blades, is being developed using a Navier-Stokes method on massively parallel computers. The major goals of this research are to demonstrate significantly enhanced computational performance and to provide moving grid solutions so that the complex flow about a complete tiltrotor vehicle with blades rotating may be efficiently modeled. This Navier-Stokes method is being verified by comparing the computational results to wind tunnel and flight test data for the V-22 Osprey tiltrotor vehicle. These correlation results indicate that this Navier-Stokes code produces results that compare with flight test and wind tunnel test data. Computational results for rotating blade models are presented.
