MV-22 HANDLING QUALITIES FLIGHT TEST SUMMARY

V-22 Osprey flight test results for Aerial Refueling, Coupled Flight Director Modes, Critical Azimuth and Autorotation are discussed. Handling quality ratings and envelope development challenges for various refueling tasks are presented. Coupled Flight Director developmental issues and solutions are discussed. A detailed analysis of Critical Azimuth results including maneuverability test results are presented showing the hover relative wind envelope. Preliminary results of Autorotation and windmilling demonstrations in helicopter and airplane modes respectively are presented.
