ABSTRACT

This paper presents a review of some methods used for ship airwake modeling. Discussions and comparisons between these methods are included and analyzed from a control design perspective. The paper also illustrates the usage of such models in ship landing and hovering alongside the ship maneuvers. The model predictive control framework is used in the control design process for these maneuvers.
