Since early in the ISS (International Space Station) program a series of acoustic modeling analyses has been performed to support the Node 1 design. The model, which predicts Node 1 interior noise from available structure and closeout design and noise source data, provides a valuable tool for the Node 1 acoustic design. The analysis model has been updated as necessary to reflect relevant Node 1 design changes. This paper presents the results of the ATDAC (acoustic theory for design of aircraft cabin) model of Node 1, which is a SEA (statistical energy analysis)-based computer model developed with NASA funding. The results predicted by the model agree with the measured acoustic environment of Node 1.
