MH-60 Link-16 Integration

The Navy's MH-60R and MH-60S helicopters, newly equipped with an integrated Link 16 network system, have recently deployed as part of a carrier task group. Link 16 played a significant role in the success of these platforms during the operational exercises. This paper provides insight into the MH-60 Link 16 capabilities, the process used to integrate Link 16, some of the challenges that were encountered, and concludes with initial favorable results from Navy testing and deployment.
