Methodology of Accelerated Evaluation of Vehicle Body Control Module (BCM) System

A test specification is required to validate an automotive product to meet the durability and design life requirements. Based on electrical load data & customer usage pattern study, a specific combination of electrical and mechanical functionalities is arrived to accelerate the BCM validation process. Controller with suitable software program was developed to execute the predefined functionality combination of BCM, which was useful for bench testing as well as in reference vehicle testing. This methodology ensures debugging of software, ensures reliability of all functionalities of BCM as per customer usage pattern, even with accelerated test.
