Metal Forming and Die Design-Systems, Processes and Materials

The issue of sheet metal forming and die design is addressed on three levels. The first (systems) focusses attention on opportunities where computer assistance can be provided to the die designer. The second (processes) reviews the current level of understanding of the sheet metal forming process. The third (materials) assesses the current level of expertise in evaluating and determining appropriate materials parameters to estimate forming behavior.
