- Customer expectations can be an important factor to consider in establishing specifications relating to battery life and battery safety. Customers expect that batteries will last normal life of vehicle, expensive replacements can be minimized, and service due to wearout is delayed until 10 years of battery life for normal usage. Customer expect having high voltage systems using advanced batteries in their vehicle provide a level of safety comparable to that present in today's vehicles.
