Manned Unmanned Operations (MUMO) Capability Development Laboratory

This paper presents an overview of the Bell Helicopter manned unmanned operations (MUMO) Capability Development Laboratory (CDL) located in Huntsville, Alabama. Topics include an overview of the CDL development in 2012, a discussion of the capabilities inherent in the CDL design, CDL growth attributes, the associated design philosophy, and the resulting warfighter flexibility this MUMO CDL affords and the resulting enabling capabilities anticipated. In addition, the paper discusses Bell Helicopter's Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) - Computation of Deployment Effectiveness and Requirements (CODER) analysis tool in terms of capabilities to support development of MUMO Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and asset effectiveness.
