Authors Abstract
Content
Magnetic Pulse Welding (MPW), a cold solid state bonding process, is becoming a viable replacement for conventional fusion welding processes and explosive welding for tube to tube applications.
The process is presented in this paper together with its fundamental equations.
Some examples of similar & dissimilar weld applications are illustrated as well as some interface microstructures.
