Abstract
Content
THIS paper embraces an analysis of a hypothetical airplane to determine values of indicated air speed and engine speed and manifold pressure yielding the maximum number of miles per gallon, the criterion of all range thoughts.
Amplification is attempted on the major variables influencing airplane and propeller, and especially engine economy.
A reasonable form for presentation of cruise-control information to the operator is offered with all ramifications for additional simplicity or for refinement.
