Lean Engineering at Elbit Systems Aerospace Division - Implementation Journey

One of the core values of Elbit Systems Aerospace Division is innovation. The innovation mindset is not limited to new products and systems, but also to find new ways to improve time to market, quality and costs of our products. The focus of this article is on the implementation journey of a Lean-Agile mindset in the engineering department, including the new organizational structure and routines, the challenges we are facing and the benefits gained from the transformation. It includes lessons learned from implementation of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) and recommendations for big organizations considering taking a similar approach.
