Abstract

Content: The Light Airborne Multi Purpose System (LAMPS) mission depends for its success upon the ability to operate helicopters safely and reliably under weather conditions up to Sea State 5, i.e. ship roll angles of about 30° and wave height of 13 feet. The RAST system was developed to enable the system to meet this requirement.
