Laboratory Results in Particulate Trap Technology

The paper describes testbed investigations on burner assisted ceramic monolith particulate filter systems for city buses. Particular attention is devoted to the regeneration sequence and the required control of the burners. A logic for regenerating a two-filter unit (in series or in parallel) is discussed. Finally results based on endurance rig testing are presented.
