Authors Abstract
Content
This study investigates two recent hypotheses on the cornering load sensitivity of the race tyre. It is found that the contact heat is the major factor affecting cornering load sensitivity according to the variables analysis. To verify the argument, a novel wheel force transducer is invented for measuring the tyre-terrain mechanisms and other experimental methods are introduced. Two laps' results testing at the constant speed cornering are discussed. The results confirm the changes between the corner entry and the corner exit. It verifies the author's judgement.
