Recently, the market has seen the appearance of various types of lithium ion batteries and other similar electricity storage devices. Combining anywhere from several cells for 24V to over a hundred cells to output as much as 400V, these electricity storage devices are used in the power systems for a range of devices. These high voltage direct current power systems require the protection against an electrocution hazard, caused by deterioration in insulation. PUES Corp. develops the BCUs that are required for structuring various types of power systems that utilize a range of lithium ion batteries. With this goal in mind, we have developed a new second-generation intelligent battery control unit and a leakage sensor that utilizes a new method.
