Abstract

Content: A new track-type tractor in the 260kW to 375kW range was developed by International-Hough. This paper discusses design concepts such as modular power train components, 2-speed steering, and a forward mounted track frame pivot shaft. The Test and Development programs performed to ensure productivity and reliability are also briefly discussed.
