INJECTION MOLDED NOTAR® FAN BLADE FOR HELICOPTER DYNAMIC APPLICATION

An injection molded fan blade has been developed for use on helicopter equipped with a NOTAR fan system (Figure 1). The NOTAR system uses a constant circulation pressure generated by the fan to counter rotor torque. This paper describes the development and certification of an injection molded polypropylene fan blade.
