Authors Abstract
Content
Approximately 50% of the industrial processes are related to the measurement and control of temperature. The automotive industry often uses thermocouples, transducers that work according to thermoelectric principles. For higher measurement reliability it is necessary to calibrate these transducers, preferably at low cost. The thermal laboratory at DCBR is developing calibration procedures and the evaluation of associated uncertainties. The object of this article is to present the thermocouple calibration process among other transducers and specially the importance of their vehicle application.
