It is important to listen to the customers' comments so that their expectations related to the product can be achieved. Fleet Monitoring is a powerful tool to achieve this objective.
Fleet Monitoring can be divided into three levels:
  • Macro level

  • Advanced level.
Fleet Monitoring process steps are:
  1. 1)
Choosing the engine or component to be researched
  2. 2)
Determining all kinds of tests that must be done to obtain information about the parameters of reliability, maintainability and availability
  3. 3)
Establishing the periods for the partial analysis of the test results without affecting the vehicles' availability
  4. 4)
Choosing and evaluating the fleet to be monitored in order to obtain reliable data
  5. 5)
Systematic gathering of data through periodic visits
  6. 6)
    Compilation of the data obtained
  7. 7)
Communicating the results to the other related departments.
The main tools to realize this job are:
  1. 1)
    Trained people
  2. 2)
    Suitable equipment to gather data
