The diverse viewpoints between and within producers and customers commonly result in frustration for all. Research systems can be implemented to clanfjr these issues for Value Engineering (VE) teams. Two effective methods are variants of existing market research techniques. The use of the Value Engineering technique of exploring “function” is a key addition to both the questionnaire and focus panel methodologies. This type of market research can be a great asset in product and cost improvement efforts.
