Authors Abstract
Content
The life time of “TWO-PHASE”-Loop components may be limited by an inertgas generation.
Noncondensing gas can be generated from three basic processes:
  • gas, trapped or adsorbed at structure material or solved in the heat carrier
  • gas, generated as a corrosion product
  • gas, generated by a decomposition of the heat carrier.
In this paper we describe the responsible influences for the gas generation and calculate the generation-rate of the gas production process according a theoretical, physical model and compare it to test results.
