- Historically cooling systems have been very inefficient, from both heat rejection and power consumption aspects. One reason is the over-sizing that occurs due to the necessity to size components for a wide range of criteria. Also with most fan systems the noise created from excessive acceleration and tip speeds is unacceptable. This paper will discuss a hydrostatic solution to the above concerns by presenting the system logic and examples of applications. Also shown is the flexibility to remote mount the radiator and fan/motor assemblies to enhance designs.
