Abstract

Content: An all-electric, weatherized chassis dynamometer has been built utilizing solid state control circuits. The facility allows operation up to 120 mph and can handle all passenger cars (front or rear wheel drive) and single drive axle truck units. Air conditioning allows operation from 40 F up with humidity control as well. Unique instrumentation allows digital readout of all important variables.
