HANDLING QUALITIES OF ARMY/HUGHES YAH-64 ADVANCED ATTACK HELICOPTER

The handling qualities of the Army/Hughes YAH-64 Advanced Attack Helicopter are discussed. A description is given of the design features which affect handling qualities and the philosophy which governed the development of a helicopter which has satisfactory flying qualities without stability augmentation and excellent flying qualities with a low authority Stabilization Augmentation System (SAS).
