GROUND MAINTENANCE EQUIPMENT FOR ARINC 429 BUS MONITORING, SIMULATION AND RECORDING

This paper will discuss The Ground Maintenance Equipment (GME) developed to be used by Avionics and Flight Test engineers and Maintenance technicians to test Avionics units. It is a useful and easy to use tool for troubleshooting communication problems between avionics units, simulating and monitoring ARINC 429 data in engineering units and recording ARINC 429 communication data between avionics boxes. This article described the Hardware and Software of the GME and presents advantages of using the system for System integration testing and field trouble shooting.
