Geometric Modeling and Analysis in Two and Three Dimensions

This paper will explore some of the logic for selection of either two dimensional or three dimensional models for geometry definition and analysis; provide guidelines and examples to aid the user in choosing; discuss various user factors such as visualization, construction techniques, training and cost/benefits which impact the selection and discuss some system considerations which may influence the results of the modeling and analysis process.
