Authors Abstract
Content
The relation between in-cylinder mixture formation and combustion, i.e. knocking is investigated with using 1cylinder firing tests, CFD calculations, LIF measurements for the various direct injection fuel spray patterns. These works reveal that even in the early injection to aim homogeneous mixture, direct injection fuel spray pattern has strong influence for combustion and knocking.
