The new vehicle performance has been continuously improved and the study results relating to the safety of driving have also been continuously reported and demonstrated, it is trying to find a balance point between the development of vehicle speed limit and the protection of drivers safety. This project looks into recent developments and research trends in collision avoidance and warning systems. It is an attempt to provide a bigger picture of the very diverse, detailed and highly multidisciplinary research in this area. Based on diversely selected research, our project explains the initiatives on the vehicle-level automation. In this project we try to develop a system to provide the prior to accident information so that it enables the vehicle to prevent the happening of accident.  This project describes automobile collision avoidance system by using of an ultrasonic sensor for a vehicle. We utilize the electronic systems application embedded in a two wheeler that is anticipated to minimize the disaster of two wheeler accident. This paper is concentrating on developing a model of rear end car collision avoidance system that detects the gap among motors moving in the identical lane, inside the identical direction and alert the rider each time she or he is in danger range by using a microcontroller. The gap is measured via an ultrasonic sensor used to experience the obstacle beforehand.
