Ford Australia Gathers Experience in the Development, Design and Manufacture of Large PU-Rim Components

Ford of Australia commenced producing polyurethane bumper systems on their large passenger car range in 1979. In 1982 this bumper system has been updated to latest PUR design and manufacturing technologies. This paper describes the achievements of that update and the developments that lead to this second generation bumper system.
