Abstract
Content
The implementation of finite element method for the solution of internal flow problems is discussed. Basic considerations in performing such analysis for designing hydraulic and pneumatic components are reviewed. It is demonstrated that the finite element method can be utilized to model flows with complex geometries for either stationary or rotating passages. Examples include both compressible and incompressible flows. The implementation of this technology on computers with parallel processing capabilities is also outlined.
