Abstract

Content: The characteristics of an advanced air superiority fighter for the year 2000 are described. New features of the fighter include improvements in SPEED, STEALTH, STOL and SUPPORT, concurrent with credible weapon system capabilities. Preliminary findings of the 1995 Fighter Technology Study are described. Typical performance and capability goals are presented as a suggested starting point for further work.
