Field Assisted Glass Sealing

A new technique is described which seals glass-to-metal and insulator-to-insulator at relatively low temperatures and short times. No intermediate foreign materials such as fluxes or adhesives are needed.

This paper describes the sealing procedure, surface preparation, applications, and properties of the seal.
