Extending Excavator Performance with Boom Mounted Attachments

Boom mounted hydraulic attachments, i.e., demolition hammers, compactors, sheet and pile drivers/extractors, and concrete crushers, expand the usefulness of heavy construction machinery. This paper describes their development, illustrates their operation, and quantifies their perfomance.
