- Investigating the load-bearing capacity of Titanium Matrix Composites (TMCs) open-hole panels and their mechanically connected components is of great significance for the application of titanium matrix composites in the aerospace field. This paper investigates the failure behavior of TMC open-hole panels with a [45°/45°/-45°/-45°] laminate configuration under tensile loading. Tensile tests were conducted in conjunction with finite element modeling to analyze the damage evolution process and identify the failure modes of the tensile samples. The results show that the simulation outcomes exhibit good consistency with the experimental results, providing a foundation for the structural optimization and theoretical study of TMC open-hole panels.
