Executive Summary of Progress in International Aerospace Standards in ISO-TC/20

Creation and promulgation of international standards for aircraft and space vehicles is the charge of Technical Committee No. 20 (TC-20) of the International Organization of Standardization (ISO). With 14 nations participating, TC-20 has produced over 100 standards. Paper describes the policies and operations of TC-20, and discusses issues of jurisdiction, participation, rate of generation, and de facto international standards.
