Authors Abstract
Content
Future CO2 emission targets and the related fuel consumption targets on passengers cars can only be achieved by implementation of new components on vehicle level (e.g. low weight materials) or further optimization of the whole power train. CO2 reduction potentials are evaluated by using special methods and procedures in the ongoing product development or product improvement process.
On the examples
  • Friction analysis of complete engine/engine components
  • Gas exchange simulation
  • Thermal management optimization
  • High pressure fuel injection system improvements
  • Use of optimized drive train components
  • Complete evaluation of the vehicle power train on chassis dynamometer
Possibilities for the future are shown. All potentials are implemented continuously into our product portfolio which is offered to the OEMs for the implementation into the customer products.
