Abstract
Content
A significant number of Extravehicular Activity (EVA) hours will be required to support on-orbit servicing and maintenance at numerous Space Station Freedom worksites. Provision of an effective means of transporting EVA crew and equipment to and from these worksites will mean less time spent on unproductive translation activities and more time for task performance.
A Crew and Equipment Translation Techniques and Routing (CETTR) trade study was conducted to determine safe and efficient translation paths and techniques to areas of the Space Station Freedom which must be reached by EVA crewmembers. This paper presents the results of this study.
