This project introduces an ergonomically enhanced loop frame bicycle integrated with a modular carrier-cum-stand system, designed to improve accessibility, comfort, and practicality for everyday users. Bicycles remain a cost-effective, eco-friendly, and health-conscious mode of transportation, widely adopted by students, delivery personnel, commuters, and fitness enthusiasts in both rural and urban settings. The loop frame design simplifies mounting and dismounting, particularly benefiting elderly users and women by promoting greater accessibility and comfort. The key innovation is the multi-functional rear carrier, which incorporates foldable arms that serve as a stable stand when deployed. This eliminates the need for a traditional side stand, thereby reducing both weight and cost while enhancing stability during parking. For design and simulation, CATIA V5 was utilized for 3D modelling of the frame and carrier mechanism, UG NX (Siemens NX) enabled detailed part modelling and assembly verification, and ANSYS was employed to ensure durability and performance under various load conditions. The integrated modular carrier-cum-stand merges two essential components, providing both carrying capacity and parking stability. Improved ergonomics through the loop frame allow easier mounting and dismounting for all users, while enhanced weight and cost efficiency is achieved by removing the need for a separate side stand. Simulation results confirm structural stability, safety, and reliability under normal cycling conditions. This innovation delivers a practical advancement in bicycle design, offering ergonomic benefits and mechanical efficiency. The integration of the modular carrier-cum-stand system with an ergonomically enhanced loop frame sets a new standard for accessibility, convenience, and reliability in modern bicycle.
