Engineering Involvement with Off-Shore Procurement

Off-shore sourcing should not be done entirely by the Purchasing Department. It is important to also involve the Engineering and Quality Departments. The contributions which the engineer makes are discussed. These include setting specifications and qualifying a supplier's processes and products.
