Is the Engine Helicopter-Worthy?

Is the engine helicopter-worthy is a question posed most frequently at the beginning of every new design program. This paper discusses some of the difficulties encountered in the installation of the engine in terms of effects on airframe hardware. The Bell Helicopter Textron Models 214A and 214ST are used as examples of current single- and twin-engine technology.
