This paper explores advanced CFD simulation technologies tailored to address design and operational challenges in autonomous eVTOL aircraft. Tools such as AVL's PreonLab and FIRE M are highlighted for their contributions to enhancing aerodynamics, fluid management, and powertrain optimization. PreonLab employs a meshless particle-based approach ideal for highly dynamic fluid flow applications, including gearbox oil distribution, electric motor cooling, water landing and soiling simulations. Meanwhile, FIRE M offers aerodynamics simulation solution based on a proprietary immersed boundary method implementation (Embedded Body Method), virtually eliminating the need for CAD clean-up and manual meshing. These technologies support the eVTOL industry's goals for electrification, sustainability, and operational efficiency, accelerating the deployment of safe and effective urban air mobility solutions.
