The Electronic Library System is a general designation for Ground and airborne systems in charge of providing Aircraft operators with the information they need.
For A330/A340 aircraft, the airborne system is LRU based and the flexibility required by Airlines is provided through a modular configuration.
The Airborne Electronic Library System Man-Machine interface is designed to be consistent with the general cockpit design. In particular, the Flight crew display devices are integrated within the sliding tables in front of each pilot station.
